Today I saw a dog wearing a blindfold. At one point it tried to take it off before the owner stepped in. And the blindfold looked like i was made for dogs.
To those asking why I tried to take off the blindfold, your not reading correctly. It (the dog) tried to take it off.

Blindfolds calm down animals and keep them from being distressed by things around them. the dog probably didn’t do well in public, maybe barking at people or yanking on the leash.
It’s a lazy but effective alternative to training.

For different reasons, people have been kept in complete darkness for even longer than that without any permanent visual damage.

Have them bring their own blindfold, with child’s name written in marker on it or tagged somehow. In case someone forgets to bring one, have a couple disposable big napkins on hand with clothes pins to secure them behind the head.
