NEVER try to do something to a dog you don’t know and that you don’t have permission to do! You could get bitten if the dog isn’t well trained, and it’s just rude! How would you like it if you were walking your dog and some random stranger came up and took its collar off, because they thought it was "weird"?

I agree with Chris. Why would you try to take off the blindfold? That was someone else’s dog, none of your business to interfere. And why did you not *ask* the owner what it was for? We can only guess, the owner is the one who could tell you.

Maybe that dog had a bad experience and they blindfold it to keep it calm and so it doesnt stress too much. IDK, thats my opinion.

I would guess that the dog had an eye injury, or was perhaps being trained to pay more attention to its feet for Search and Rescue work. Why not ask the owwner next time you see them? I’d be curious to know.
