Im doing a 500 word report on that for my science project…I need reasons why too! THANKS
I would be able to. I don’t drink sodas all that often but when I do, if someone gives me a soda and says it’s Coke, I can tell if it’s Pepsi. As far as clear sodas versus dark ones, I could tell the difference while blindfolded because of the aftertaste.

Most likely, yes, because of taste!

I think brand name sodas are more bubbly than the cheap ones.

When you say different sodas, do you mean the difference between say a cola and sprite? If this is the case, then yes I’d imagine a lot of people would be able to.tell the difference, this is a taste thing. Taste is governed by our tongues and noses, not sight.
However, if you mean between two colas or lemonades, etc. Then some people would have difficulty I think. A lot of this is, due to perceived taste. You get used to a brand and expect it to taste a certain way, so when you have a rival brand you sub-consciously make it taste different. So if you couldn’t see the drink’s brand then you might have a job telling them apart.
That’s my theory or why I think so, however for science you’ll need to back up your ideas with facts and figures. You should get several friends together, the more people the better data you’ll get. You’ll also want to get several different soda types and three or four of each.
Once you’ve got all the sodas and friends, take each friend in turn and let them try all the sodas before you start the test. Now blindfold them, it’s important that they cannot peek but still be able to smell. My advice would be to use a sleep-mask (one with two elastic bands so their nose area is covered) and then tie a banded bandanna over that. Now give them the sodas in a random order and ask them to tell you what soda it is and the brand.
Then get one of your friends to put you through the test also. You might also consider testing people who are older and younger than you also to see if age makes a difference.
Hope this helps.
