I began to be afraid of cars after a friend of mine died in a car wreck, after that I began phobic of cars, I could drive myself, or be in a car for more than 15 minutes at a time.
A few months ago I was in a car accident after school while driving home with a childhood friend.
This has only seemed to reinforce my fear, making it so unbarable I feel like I’m going to die and get terribly close to crying when I’m in the car.
This fear, is so intense, I feel like my heart is going to explode and every car in front of us, I have flashes of it slamming on its breaks and us slamming into it, which is what happened when I got into the car accident.
I don’t know what to do anymore, my boyfriend gets so angry at me because I’m always telling him to slow down, or too watch out for that car.
My mom doesn’t seem to understand, she just gets mad at me and thinks I’m being difficult.
I don’t beleive this is an irrational fear because car’s are dangerous!
My psychiatrist diagnosed Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and gave me some medication that my mom won’t allow me to take.
I don’t know how to deal with this anymore, It’s driving me crazy because I’m missing out on just about everything because I can’t go anywhere further than 15 minutes! Does anybody have any advice?
(Please don’t give me the ‘you have to face your fears’ or ‘let your boyfriend/mom blindfold and gag you during car rides’ I don’t know why you expect this to work, but I would be having panic attacks left and right, that won’t help.)
If you have been prescribed medication and your parent won’t allow you to take it, you can call 211 or police (non-emergency) and get help, although unfortunately, you might be removed from the home.
Are you continuing counseling? If not, you qualify even more because of the diagnosis. I would make a call, or I would try and get out of the house in some other way (move in with the family of a friend). No, I’m not suggesting you run away. I am however suggesting you do what you need to, and you can get support from social services with this. Try 211 first if you live in the USA.

The other day… my friend and I made a bet and I lost. The terms were if he one, he could do whatever he wants to me. I expected to wait on him or something. Instead, he put these leather handcuffs on me. Then he threw me down and took off my shoes slowly and then smelled them. (I was in shorts and shoes) Then he started to smell my socks. He tied my ankles and but this ball thing in my mouth with straps on it and blindfolded me. He left me there for three hours and thank god he didn’t do much else except for tickling me. Anyway, I lost another bet but I don’t know if I should be tied up again. Is it sexual or something cause it was weird?

I find that I can not put myself into a political party based on one issue alone. I believe that each issue deserves it’s own analysis and not that of the political party. How is someone able to put blindfolds on and merely make decisions based on political party?

Since you are interested in light bondage, not pain, I would suggest soft belts, rope, or strips of fabric cut from old towels. Bandannas, scarves, knit hats, or even t-shirts could be used for blindfolds. Washcloths could work for gags.

I would like to play the honeymoon blackout game at a bridal shower I am hosting, but don’t know the WHOLE STORY. This is the game where the lights go out on the couples wedding night and the bride must get dressed in the dark (blindfolded) and put on funny clothes…. I just need the story to read as she dresses. Does anyone know it?

tell her it’s a trust game. you could play trust walk for example. one of you is blindfolded and guided around by the other partner. while your friend has the blindfold on, you can suddenly take her to the car. make sure she can’t peek!
