Just because you know that birth rate demographics severely impacted society the economy along with wages and expectations — in times gone past —- the baby boomers
That is absolutely no reason to discuss it today . What about the birth rates here and now — Can’t we look ahead and discuss it reasonably ? Does the mere mention of it always have to be the hate filled ranting of groups dedicated to killing someone or something ?
Every time those people are given the stage — they serve as the boogey man that justifies a dull sleeping society to ban the subject completely — The question can no longer be asked talked about or even mentioned without hate filled rants
Are there more or less whites blacks immigrants indigenous people ? When asked more people are comming into or leaving XYZ religion and what do they say their main reason is for staying or going ?
How many blacks got sickle cell how many Jews got tazzacs —It either IS or it IS NOT —But you can’t ask if someone yells something obscene
Are you happy with the amount of power you gave someone who yells obscenities — Or were you wearing a blind fold trusting the leaders that they would guide all of us in manner that would suit us all and therefore there was no reason to participate in the outcome of your own society
If you don’t participate — and leave that void — someone will sooner or later fill it

Her body completley naked and a pillow over her head
What a tragedy to see what happened to this girl
The torture she embarked she truly was alone in this world….

i hate child abuse. i just had to say that it make me so so so mad any time i hear a story about it. you really wrote powerful yet moving poem about this sad subject and it was very detail! you really out did your self on this one. you could tell you was feeling it in every word you wrote. it was all most like you there and was seeing it for yourself.you make the story come alive for the reader, great job! you are so right about it being time to put a stop to this kind of thing from happening but sadly even as i write this answer to you out there, somewhere, some child is being abuse or even killed this very moment,many close their eyes to it but thanks to story’s like the one you just did it makes people have to face that thing, like this is happening, all the time,great job on this poem i really mean it!
I’ll be out in San Fran in June’10 and was wondering what people out there would recommend seeing. Of course, the Golden Gate bridge, the Fisherman’s Wharf, that crooked street & Chinatown are all on my list of things to do, see & photograph but I know there’s infinitely more wonderful things to check out while I’m there-they just may not pop up on the web when i do a search. I’m wondering if you folks (especially if you’re a local) can give me suggestions to the best museums, photo op locations, markets for shopping, etc. I am sort of an artsy person who likes to see what a city has to offer as far as photography, art & architecture.. Also, any suggestion as to areas/hotels that are centrally located to a lot of these things & still reasonable would b great. Ps-lemme just add that I’m really not interested in anything sports-related and usually can find myself a good bar with a blindfold on & 2 hands tied behind my back! ha ha..

Out at Ocean Beach: Go to the Cliff House, Sutro Baths at the end of Pt. Lobos and The Great Highway. Sutro Park and Lands End area should not be missed. The camera obscura is not usually open when I’ve been there but you might be lucky. It’s on the deck behind the Cliff House Restaurant.
Go up to Twin Peaks and bring your camera for a great view overlooking the city & east bay.
Seal Rock Inn is near those places and the #38 Geary bus is a good run that will take you elsewhere (even to another bus connection). There is parking at the motel and around the area. It’s a little dated but located in a quiet residential area near the beach. Be cautious and keep an eye on your stuff - don’t leave stuff lying around that will tempt anyone. Don’t take more stuff than you can watch and hang on to (secure) when you go out on the street or on public transit. Be aware that sometimes you might need to stand and hold a bar (maybe overhead) on a crowded bus or streetcar.
Market & Powell St. for Visitor’s Information Center down the escalator and above ground, the Cable Car turnaround & MUNI kiosk to purchase any MUNI visitor’s passes — a real bargain — for the cable car, buses, or muni metro.

You might walk from the Union Square retail area along GRANT Ave. to Chinatown and at Clay, go east toward the pier and get some shots of the Transamerica Pyramid.from the outside. This is a secured building so the guard will not permit you to take any interesting photos inside the lobby.

In 2001, a Girl and a Guy slipped Ruphies and E into the drinks of her and a friend of hers.
The guy took the one girl, and the girl took my friend.
While the guy was having his way with the other, his GF Tied my friend to a bed, blindfolded & gagged her, cut her neck with a knife in 2 places making it bleed, touched her everywhere. Then proceeded to whip her with a cat o nine for 3 hours. She also pressed a knife blade to her skin and cut her over 10 other times, leaving marks. She also strangled her and left bruises on her neck. My friend, I was told, passed out from the pain, and once unconscious the girl hit her over the head 4-5 times. Only then did she untie her and drag her to the bed to give her mouth to mouth because she stopped breathing.
When so called friend woke up, the girl kissed her and bit her all over. She played the part of a DOM, screaming and spitting at her. The other girl, her friend, came to more quickly and got her into her clothing and stole a blanket to wrap around her and drove to a nearby friend’s house who witnessed all of the marks, cuts, and bruises on my friend. There WERE witnesses, but is there nothing that can be done now? My friend is still terrified of this person, and that person showed up near her work today and rubbed her cheek. Is there anything she can do? She can’t afford a restraining order…
Every state has its own statue of limitations on rape. It’s been 8 years. Chances are, the statute of limitations is already up and she can’t do anything about it. I have no idea if the link below is accurate, but it gives the state-by-state statutes of limitations for sexual assault. If the statute of limitations is *not* up, she can press charges against the guy. She should contact her local law enforcement about it. Just be aware that, without pictures and a rape kit, the chances of her winning are slim, because it will be his word against hers. It will all depend on the credibility of any of the witnesses to the assault.
